The Tree Care Industry Association (TCIA) Accreditation Program is built on a threefold foundation of ethics, quality and consumer confidence. The program is a rigorous audit and examination of a tree care company’s policies and procedures. The TCIA Accreditation seal ensures that a tree care company has implemented best business practices, ethical business conduct, formal training and certification, industry, state, and federal standards compliance, and adherence to safety and quality standards.
To earn an ISA (International Society of Arboriculture) Certified Arborist credential, the applicant must be trained and experienced in all aspects of arboriculture. ISA Certified Arborists have completed both a practical and written exam to confirm their full range of tree care knowledge.
TCIA’s Certified Tree Care Safety Professional (CTSP) Program teaches safety professionals strategies and tactics for changing the very culture of their organization. A CTSP is able not only to coach his/her team in safe work practices, but also work to change attitudes about safety and motivate other employees to want to participate. Having a CTSP working on your property ensures that everything possible is being done to prevent hazards, therefore reducing any possible liability.
